S4 — Sterility Sampling Statistical Simulator app for iPhone and iPad

The Sterility Sampling Statistical Simulator (S4) is a tool produced by LearningPlus that can be used in training people about the limitations of statistically-based sampling and testing. Users can prove to themselves that although they know (and can see) contamination or defects, they may not be able to collect a sample that contains them.

S4 can be used by individuals, small groups, and in larger instructor-led training events. It is aimed at people who make and test healthcare products like drugs and medical devices.

Users can select from total population options, defect/contamination rates, and sampling sizes, including the sampling size of 20 units as required by many regulatory agencies.
